• Sunday worship at 10:00 am – childcare is provided.  We use the best of traditional and contemporary approaches to worship with an emphasis on authentically engaging God.  Our music is an “acoustic” style that’s easy to relate to, but we strive for depth as we draw from both classic hymns and thoughtful contemporary choruses.  We value clear, relevant communication that’s mindful of the personal, practical, and intellectual issues in faith.  You can dress comfortably and you won’t be put on the spot as a visitor. 

• People at Northwest are serving the community through New Horizons Ministry, Love INC, Acres of Diamonds, and independent work with migrant families in the Mount Vernon area.  We’re also taking part in efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina. 

• We have small groups, classes, and service opportunities for adults and strong youth and children’s ministries.

• We know that there’s a lot of confusion, disillusionment, and even cynicism when it comes to “organized religion”.  That makes it all the more important for us to live out our faith authentically and with genuine love for God and others.  We place a high value on putting the love of God in action, and it’s demonstrated through the lives of people of all ages and walks of life in our fellowship.  Faith has made a real difference in our lives, and we think you might be surprised at how you discover faith, hope, and love here at Northwest Pres.
